GAS leak: a QCA graduate art show

EXHIBITION CATALOGUE CAN BE FOUND HERE

The Laundry Artspace presents ‘GAS leak: a QCA graduate art show’ – a one night only event at The Laundry Artspace on Friday the 27th of November, 2015.

This event celebrates and supports QCA Graduates by providing a platform for the presentation of a selection of artists across multiple disciplines in an alternative exhibition space.

WINNERS (as announced by judges Llewellyn Millhouse and Caity Reynolds) are as follows:

1st place (tied) -Peter Kozak
1st place (tied) – Aishla Manning
2nd place -Vrinda Gleeson
3rd place – Tess Mehonoshen
Curators’ pick – Sarah Poulgrain

Each winner received a prize of $20, $10 and $5 respectively.

This exhibition is presented in response to the cancellation of “The GAS – Graduate Art Show”:

“a much anticipated end of year exhibition at Griffith University Art Gallery, the premiere public gallery of the University located at South Bank, Brisbane, on the grounds of the Queensland College of Art. GAS showcases art by QCA Undergraduate, Honours, Masters and Doctoral students, all graduating in [2015]. Areas of study include Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art, Fine Art (Jewellery and Small Objects, Painting, Printmaking and Sculpture), and Photography.”
